Earth Assets Group Offers EAD Environmental
Renewable Energy Certificates to Subscribers
San Francisco, CA - The
Earth Assets Group (EAG) launched its online information
platform today and announced it will give EAD Environmental
wind energy certificates free to the first 300 new subscribers.
This promotion is designed to raise awareness for eco-assets
such as renewable energy certificates.
Eco-assets can be earned as a
result of incentive-based environmental programs created specifically
to improve health and welfare. Eco-assets are fungible commodities
such as credits, allocations or certificates earned from actively
improving air, water, land or biodiversity resources.
"This is a terrific opportunity
to introduce renewable energy certificates (RECs) to a wide
and diverse global audience," said William Coleman, founder
and principal of EAG. In this way people from all over the
world will be saying yes to ecological assets, and to energy
captured from the wind, the sun and other renewable energy
sources, " added Coleman.
This co-promotion between Earth
Assets Group and EAD Environmental is a first. "I'm not
aware of an environmental information clearinghouse cooperating
like this with a renewable energy marketer," said Coleman.
"I hope we can set the trend."
Renewable technologies are mandated
by many states as a way to bolster the economic viability
of alternate forms of energy. Renewable energy certificates
represent 'kilowatts-of-choice' for many households concerned
about the environmental effects of energy generated from coal
and nuclear fuels. Regional planners working to diversify
the nation's energy platform can also view REC's favorably.
"A biological system has many of the same characteristics
as a technological system," offered Coleman. "When
systems are diverse and redundant, whether ecosystems or energy
networks, they are less vulnerable to catastrophe."
EAD Environmental, headquartered
in New York City, provides businesses, associations, and individuals
with the opportunity to offset their impact on the environment
through Renewable Energy Certificates and related Environmental
Action Certificates. EAD Environmental offers these certificates
online (www.eadenvironmental.com) to offset the environmental
effects of various business operations, events, and individual
activities such as the use of gasoline-powered vehicles. "EAD
Environmental sells renewable energy and greenhouse gas reduction
certificates from local, national, and international environmentally
friendly projects," said EAD Environmental's Samantha
Unger, vice president for marketing and sales. "With
the sale of each renewable energy certificate, individuals
and businesses are creating a better environment and diversifying
the nation's energy supply," added Unger.
